I'm starting to contribute to The Secular Outpost, starting with today's post about indoctrinating children. Next week that will be the topic in my class on procreation and parenthood, so stay tuned (maybe) for more on the subject.
If you're wondering, Kitty is resting comfortably. His surgery went well, and now we're waiting for the pathology report.
"For example, moral education just cannot be delayed until a person is fully mature and rational."
I'll admit it: in the context of both the article and the occasional discussion of moral realism on your blog, this line from the article made me smile.
Hope the kitty's results are favorable.
Give my best wishes to Kitty.
We are all very sad. He seemed ok for two days post-surgery, then went downhill rapidly and died at an animal emergency facility this morning. Only 9 years old. Only saving grace--he got tons of tender loving care before the end.
Damn! Sorry to hear it.
