It's Just Moonplay

Note: I received these photos in an email last week, and can now tell you the photographer's name: Laurent Laveder. More pictures are here and they are also available as postcards and as a small book.

  3. These came from a friend, who got them from a friend, who... I don't know where they came from originally. These pictures would make lovely calendar. Wish I know who the photographer was, so I could credit where credit is due. By the way, this post has gotten a zillion hits!

  4. I'm sure its a bit viral at this point, I facebooked it, and I wouldn't be suprised if others have done so as well (or twittered, or buzzfed, or... or...)

  6. Ahh....good. I got these in an email a couple of days ago and had no idea who the photographer was. Now that I know, anybody think I should take down the post? This is getting tons of hits (1,000 just today).

  8. Stunning, beautiful, lovely.

I suppose the right thing to do would be to show the photographer this post and ask for permission? (Of course that's not normally the right order of doing things, but the source couldn't originally be identified and now the post is already here...)

  9. Dear Jean,
I'm the photographer who did these pictures. They are incredibly popular, maybe because they are "universal" (they speak to anyone).
I don't care if you use these pictures for free in your blog (as you don't make money with it), but I'll be glad to see a few words atop this page about the origin of them: http://www.pixheaven.net/galerie_us.php?id=22
and that they are available as post cards: http://www.pixheaven.net/livre/crbst_6.html
and in a small book: http://www.pixheaven.net/livre/
Thank you for broadcasting my work.
    Regards.

  10. Thanks very much. I'll put those links in the post. It's already had thousands of hits--it's been amazing. By all means--credit should go where it's due, and sales too! Those are wonderful pictures.

  11. Laurent, hopefully you're reading the comments here. Can I order your delightful little book to an address in the UK (it didn't come up as a delivery country when I tried to check out)?
