Yes, that's Oprah in the first picture--filming her show at the Texas State Fair. By complete coincidence, we happened to be right nearby. Just as she was giving away all sorts of prizes to a wildly enthusiastic crowd, it started to pour. Is there a point to this post? No.
I was thinking about my gaiman recommendation to you, and realized that I was making the mistake of pointing you towards what I liked, instead of pointing you towards what might be something even more up your alley. Good Omens is great, don't get me wrong, but I think you MIGHT enjoy American Gods more. But this is just a guess from what I know about you.
